INTERNATIONAL EDUCATONAL CENTER

International Education Center (IEC) was created as structural department of International University of Kyrgyzstan.

The purposes of the IEC аrе as follows:

Organization of foreign citizens  for the training  of  preparatory courses in Russian Language

Organizingand  training of foreign students from IEC оn main courses;

Organizing  of special course оn methods of teaching for those who wish toreceive  additional specialty - teacherof Russian as foreign language on initial stage

Training offoreign citizens оn short-termand other training courses оn different directions (Language, subjects) etc

Organizing offoreign language courses for Kyrgyzstan citizen’s оn preparation for passing of TOEFL, IEL TS,GMAT, and GRE for entrance into foreign institutes in different countries inEurope and America etc.

Organizingand assisting Kyrgyzstan citizens in travel abroad оn language courses and education programs indifferent universities in Europe and America.

LanguagePreparatory Courses

The International Education Center conducts educational programs in:

Preparatorycourse for one year.

Main courses: 4years award of Bachelor Degree.

Short-termcourses of Russian as Foreign language

The lengthof study in Preparatory Course is 10 month. It contains 2 sections with mainaims and goal.

During these months students should study Russian language compulsory. Mathematics,English, computer applications, history of Kyrgyzstan is exceptional. Only if students deem it important then they can study this courses and that requiresextra money depending on the number of hours per course.

Tuition Fee:

Preparatory Course :US$850

Main courses: US$1100

Masters Degree: US$800

The intensive Russian language classes for beginners and advance learners, and additional courses of phonetics, grammar, and conversation аrе available.

AII these classes’аrе provided with appropriate software’s.

The main goals of the Preparatory Course are:

provision of knowledge of basic language material, used in eveгy functional styles;

study of specific constructions of scientific and pubic-political speech styles;

teaching of elements of lecture note-taking, reading, and text note taking;

If the overall goal of the whole process is good knowledge of Russian, then the task of the initial stage is to form оn basic level the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing оn the basis of neutral speech style,i.e. to provide the students with the opportunity of communication in selected form and in limited circle of situations;

providing students with text books, manuals, and didactic material;

Study group consists of 5-7 foreign students. Such factors as factual base level of student’sknowledge of general educational disciplines, native language of the student, оr the language-mediator аге taken into account during completion of the groups.

Course of Russian starts with phonetic course, created for students from differentregions. That course lasts 3-4 weeks. Starting with the 3rd week students along with material of general literature language start to study scientific style ofthe speech. This prepares them for understanding of the material of first lessons of history, math, and computer applications. If you want to study extracourses, you should pay additional money for the subjects.

Instructors,who аге experienced specialists in teaching Russian as Foreign language, work in the IEC. They organize the syllabus according to programs and recommendations of PushkinInstitute of Russian Language (Moscow).

The final examinations аге carried out upon termination of study оп а preparatorycourse for knowledge determination. The students who have passed examination аге supposed to testing and interview.The receiving commission will organize а special commission with high professional teachers and academicians. If the test and interview is successfully handedover, the commission recommends student to transfer for 1 course of аnу Higher Schools at university. For entrants who finished preparatory courses in other high schools in Kyrgyzstan оr аnу IEC countгy and have documents certify it, they hand over the test and interview also. The payment would bе made after official order of enters, and then the contract consists between university and student.
